A limited series of a particular print or object. Limited editions are fixed in quantity, meaning we will only produce a certain number.

We work directly with our artists to create editions that accurately represent their body of work. Additionally, each artist personally reviews and approves their final edition.
Each edition comes with a numbered Certificate of Authenticity (COA) signed by the artist. Additionally every edition will be signed, marked, or numbered on the edition itself.
The copyright is not transferred to the purchaser of the edition.

Once your order has been placed successfully, it will be packaged in our custom-built wooden boxes and shipped to you using one of our selected global carriers, which we will update you on by email. We like to make sure each edition is absolutely perfect by taking a few extra steps. This means orders can take 2-4 weeks to get to you while they are framed (if you have ordered a framed work), checked and await the seal of approval from the artist themselves. We do our best to ship as quickly as possible, so we really appreciate your patience during this process as our main priority is sending something to you that is perfect and that you will want to keep in your collection for many years to come.
Every finished work we send to our collectors is packed in a flat, wooden box that has been custom-built for your piece. Once securely packaged inside the box, we attach your shipping labels and any necessary customs documents, as well as include your Certificate of Authenticity, signed by the artist.
Please remember to take extra care when opening the packaging and unwrapping your artwork. We include handling gloves for you to use for this or if you just fancy wearing them out on weekends.
Shipping costs depend on the size, weight and destination of your artwork. Shipping costs are calculated prior to checkout and included in the total cost of your order, with no additional charges beyond the cost of delivery to us. All orders are shipped using our selected premium carriers.
Yes, we ship internationally using selected global carriers.
Please be aware that international orders may be subject to relevant customs duties of the destination country. Customs fees should be paid upon arrival and are in addition to shipping and handling costs. As customs charges are governmental taxes, we are afraid we cannot discount or reimburse you for these costs.

We declare all shipments as limited edition artworks, subject to the nature of the piece ordered. We cannot mark your shipment as a gift.
Every shipment to any of our collectors is fully insured from the moment it leaves our warehouse to when it arrives at your door.
You may be charged duties by your country’s customs. The exact amount can vary depending on the artwork itself and customs laws of your country. We pay extra close attention to orders going through customs. Each order will have the correct documentation so that minimal appropriate duties are applied.

In order to comply with EU legislation, we are legally required to obtain and check identity documents for all of our customers who purchase a piece of art worth €10,000 or more from us, or who spend more than €10,000 with us in a single transaction.
In practical terms this means that we have to ask you for a copy of a valid photo identity document, such as a passport, driving license or national ID card so that we have proof of your full name, date of birth, nationality and address on record.
If you’re purchasing on behalf of someone else, please let us know as we are still responsible for verifying their identity.
If you are purchasing on behalf of a business, we will require company details including evidence of incorporation, directors and the ultimate beneficial owners.
Payments will have to be made from a bank account held in the name of the person or entity named on our invoice. In the event that you wish for a third party to pay for a purchase on your behalf, please notify us in advance as this may require further checks.
Please understand that we are obliged to apply these checks, regardless of whether you are a new or a longstanding collector of ours. Please also bear with us whilst we carry out these checks – we will do our best to make the process as smooth and efficient as possible for you!

GOODS, PRICING AND AVAILABILITY
We make all reasonable efforts to ensure that all images and descriptions goods available from us correspond to the actual goods. Please note, however, images of goods are for illustrative purposes only. There may be slight variations in colour between the image of a product and the actual product sold. Images and/or descriptions of packaging are for illustrative purposes only, the actual packaging of goods may vary.
We cannot guarantee that goods will always be available. Stock indications are provided on our site where possible, however such indications may not always be accurate.
We reserve the right to change prices and to add, alter, or remove special offers from time to time and as necessary.
Delivery and framing charges are not always included in the price of goods displayed on our site. Delivery and framing options and related charges will be presented to you as part of the order process.
Please be aware that international orders may be subject to relevant customs duties of the destination country. These duties are payable by you, the customer. Customs fees should be paid upon arrival and are in addition to shipping and handling costs. We cannot discount or reimburse you for these costs.

Avant Arte B.V. reserves the right to decline or cancel orders for any reason. In the unlikely event that we do not accept or cannot fulfill your order, we will notify you by email to the email address you provided when submitting your order. If we have taken payment any such sums will be refunded to you as soon as possible and in any event within 30 days.
PAYMENT & REFUND
Payment for goods and related delivery charges must always be made in advance and you will be prompted to pay during the order process.
Any refunds due will be made using the same payment method that you used when ordering the goods. Refunds for returned items will be made within 14 days of receiving the goods in our warehouse.
All goods purchased through our site will typically be shipped from our warehouse within 4 weeks of order, however, this may take slightly longer (particularly in the case of pre-ordered or framed works). We will endeavour to keep you informed of any delays during this period.
We ship all orders on our standard service using premium global carriers.
If for any reason we are unable to deliver the goods to your chosen delivery address, we will leave a note informing you that the goods have been returned to our premises with instructions for arranging re-delivery. If you do not collect the goods or arrange for re-delivery, we will contact you to ask for further instructions. We may charge you for storage costs and for re-delivery. If we cannot contact you despite our reasonable efforts, or we cannot arrange re-delivery or collection, we may end the contract and issue you with a refund but may deduct a reasonable sum in compensation for any net costs incurred by us as a result.
Delivery shall be deemed complete and the responsibility for the goods will pass to you once we have delivered the goods to the address you have provided.
Ownership of the goods passes to you once we have received payment in full of all sums due (including any applicable delivery charges).
FAULTY, DAMAGED OR INCORRECT GOODS
If any goods you have purchased do not comply and, for example, have faults or are damaged when you receive them, or if you receive incorrect (or incorrectly priced) goods, please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org as soon as reasonably possible to inform us of the fault, damage or error, and to arrange for a refund, repair or replacement.
Beginning on the day that you receive the goods (and ownership of them) you have a 30 calendar day right to reject the goods and to receive a full refund if they do not conform as stated above.
Please note that you will not be eligible to claim under this clause if we informed you of the fault(s), damage or other problems with the goods before you purchased them.
CANCELLING AND RETURNING GOODS IF YOU CHANGE YOUR MIND
All requests for cancellations or adjustments must be made within 24 hours of your order being placed. Unfortunately, we cannot accommodate any requests made after this time, as the artwork will have been sent to our framing partner or have been packaged to be shipped to you.
If you would like to return your purchase, please make sure it is returned in the original packaging and in perfect condition within 14 days of receipt. We cannot offer refunds on the costs of framing or delivery and we ask that you arrange and pay for the return shipment to our HQ in the Netherlands.
OUR LIABILITY TO CUSTOMERS
We will be responsible for any foreseeable loss or damage that you may suffer as a result of our breach of these Terms of Sale or as a result of our negligence. We will not be responsible for any loss or damage that is not foreseeable.
We will not be liable for any failure or delay in performing our obligations where that failure or delay results from any cause that is beyond our reasonable control. If such an event arises, we will inform you as soon as is reasonably possible, and we will take all reasonable steps to minimise the delay.
We may transfer (assign) our obligations and rights under these Terms of Sale (and under the Contract, as applicable) to a third party (this may happen, for example, if we sell our business). If this occurs, you will be informed by us in writing. Your rights under these Terms of Sale will not be affected.

PERSONAL DATA WE COLLECT
Subject to the following, we do not collect any personal data from you. We do not place cookies on your computer or device, nor do we use any other means of data collection.
Our site collects certain information automatically, including your IP address, the type of browser you are using, and certain other non-personal data about your computer or device such as your operating system type or version, and display resolution.
