George Condo & Avant Arte

A Trio of Silkscreen Prints

Working at Andy Warhol’s factory was the beginning of a lifelong connection with silkscreen printing for George Condo. Forty years later, a trio of seminal paintings are reprised as limited edition prints in support of Dia Art Foundation.

George Condo has only had two jobs. The first was working at Dia Art Foundation, and the second for Andy Warhol in the early 1980s. At Warhol’s factory, he honed the craft of silkscreen printing in a 'painterly' way. This formative experience instilled a desire to create genuinely radical art.

Discover the editions

A trio of portraits pay homage to Condo's unique ability to portray the inner psyche of the human mind. Together, they celebrate his career-spanning history with printmaking, with the proceeds supporting the future of Dia. Each of Condo's original works have been meticulously translated in close collaboration with master printmakers at Make-Ready in London.

I think they were extremely astute and in choosing the images that were not only sort of poppy and vibrant, but also you could get the textural quality of painting.
