Neo Jomon: Biomorphic fantôme (white) explores the relationship between object and space, based on the core principle of Ma which sees emptiness as a dynamic entity in itself.
The undulating form creates a peaceful, flowing energy between the sculpture and its surrounding environment, allowing collectors to recognise and encounter Ma themselves.
Expertly carved from marble, repeated lines in the surface texture recall the raked patterns found in Zen Buddhist Gardens, whilst a pair of peering eyes animates the abstract form to an endearing effect.
