NessGraphics' first physical edition brings his NFT to life, complete with circuit boards and hand-painted details.

The intricacy of the original NFT is captured in numerous elements, from LED lights to the classic arcade carpet base. The functioning screen flickers around the words 'GAME OVER', alluding to the pervasive crypto-scepticism and fear-mongering encountered by the artist. "I’ve heard this so many times – ‘game over, go home, everything’s done’ – when it’s not."

The sculptures will be available on 14 December on a first-come-first-served basis to collectors who hold NessGraphics' G4M30V3R NFT – released in March 2022 – in their wallets. A minimum of two sculptures will be available to the public on December 15. More details on the public allocation will follow.

Behind the scenes

NessGraphics1 collaborationAlex Ness, aka NessGraphics, creates cyberpunk dystopian futures. His images, videos and light projections are incredibly detailed. Saturated green-tinted colour palettes lend them an intentionally unsettling atmosphere. A broad range of socio-political themes surface throughout, from climate change and artificial intelligence to police brutality and nationalism. Ness draws inspiration from social media, gaming and science-fiction. Elon Musk’s Neuralink project is also a muse. While the works exist primarily online and on-chain, they also critique technology. His apocalyptic imaginings ask the question – “What would a society look like if everything was based on technology?” Judging by the results, quite bleak.
