Grant Riven Yun releases his first-ever limited edition silkscreen print.
High Fly Over the Valley marks a pivotal moment in the artist’s practice, translating his sought-after digital landscapes into a meticulously crafted analogue print. Rooted in visual traditions that predate the digital age, the work draws inspiration from 1920s Precisionist painters who reduced American landscapes to geometric form and negative space. Grant describes his own approach as ‘Neo-Precisionism’. Working from photographs, he distils landscapes into powerful hard-edged compositions, using a limited colour palette that invites viewers to fill in the gaps with their own memories.
This 27 colour silkscreen print is hand-pulled in 48 layers to capture the intricate depth of Grant’s digital landscapes. Each print in this edition is paired with a corresponding NFT.
