The first “Beard Frame Shop,” as it was known then, was founded by Terry Beard in 1974 in Portland, OR. We have Beard’s Framing shops in Beaverton, Vancouver and Lacey. “Beard’s Framing Outlet” first opened in Portland in 1987. This popular destination for affordable picture frames became Frame Central, which now includes several stores in the greater Portland and Seattle areas. Museum Quality Framing was founded by Adrian Hanauer in 1988. You can find Museum Quality Framing shops in Seattle, Bellevue and Tacoma. In 1999, Museum Quality Framing purchased Beard’s Framing and Frame Central, making us the largest custom framing company in the Pacific Northwest. We have since added a full-service art printing business, an internet fulfillment business as well as a contract division serving Interior Designers, Architects, Contractors and businesses throughout the country and abroad. In 2020, to provide more efficient service and additional products to our east coast customers, we acquired Kaleidoscope Designs in Tallahassee, Florida. Kaleidoscope Design Factory is an art consultant and manufacturer that combines original thought and technology to create inspiring work for the hospitality, healthcare, commercial, and government markets.
