Michael Kagan uses forceful brushstrokes in sharp primary colours to give his oil-based paintings a graphic quality. Higher Places, an edition of 70, exemplifies Kagan’s visual language that balances between abstraction when examined up-close, and detailed representation when seen as a whole.
