Shirin Neshat turns a standout figurative shot from her acclaimed film Women Without Men into a special edition photographic print.

In the 2009 film, her first feature, Shirin directs a story of Iranian women navigating the social, political, and environmental upheavals of their country following the CIA-backed coup d'état of the left-leaning Mosaddegh in 1953. Like much of Shirin’s work, its lens puts focus on where the personal and political collide.

Shirin, who has lived in exile for most of her adult life, is a vital advocate for women in Iran and beyond – shaping global conversations on identity and gender.
