With his first generative artwork, Beeple considers the subjective nature of our individual realities, as well as a hypothetical symbiosis between technology and nature. The Tree of Knowledge responds in real time to a wealth of information. Exactly how is down to its owner, who is granted a choice between three states.
"We all get to choose our own reality."
BeepleLimited edition prints
SIGNAL, NOISE and CHOOSE VIOLENCE are static representations of the tree in each possible state. The artworks were created in collaboration with printmakers at Make-Ready, and will launch as time-limited editions on Wednesday 9 October.
The Lingotto Collection
Beeple revealed The Tree of Knowledge at the opening of Italian Tech Week in Turin, and announced that it had been acquired by the Lingotto Collection.
