Our debut collaboration with anonymous artist Backside works. is a signature portrait.
Queen is a limited edition print that showcases the artist’s core philosophy: the female figure at the centre of the work is the ‘heroine’, while the viewer steps into the role of ‘protagonist’, free to construct their own story through engagement with the image. Rooted in Japanese otaku and street culture, the visual language of this composition fuses the aesthetics of animation, manga, and graffiti.
This edition is a 30 colour silkscreen printed in 40 layers, with CMYK Amplitude Modulated Halftone background and fluorescent, iridescent and metallic overprints on Somerset Tub Sized Radiant White 410gsm paper, made in close collaboration with the artist.
