For the first time, Inside This House (1990) by David Wojnarowicz has been authorised as a limited edition print by his Estate.
Having experienced abuse and profound instability within his childhood home, Wojnarowicz frequently returned to domestic spaces as sites of complicated memory, vulnerability and survival. Inside This House (1990) combines monochromatic photography with one of his poems, using the image of a house as a symbol of these themes – turning personal experience into a reflection on identity and trauma. As he once wrote: "To make the private into something public is an action that has terrific ramifications."
Produced in collaboration with the David Wojnarowicz Estate, this limited edition offers a rare opportunity to collect an intimate work by one of the most influential artists of his generation.
