Eternal Reflection (Pink)

In Eternal Reflections (Pink), Amir H. Fallah entwines storybook motifs with luscious flora to create a series of otherworldly portals.

The edition transposes one of the artist’s original tondos onto a coloured plexiglass mirror. Each onlooker becomes an active participant in the artwork as their reflection fills the central void. “I'm interested in turning the history of portraiture on its head and trying to create an alternative way to describe someone.”

References to a wealth of influences – from Persian miniatures to children’s book illustrations – mingle with flowers from diverse ecosystems. The combination of familiar and ‘other’ serves as a metaphor for migration, and the ability of diasporic populations to thrive in new contexts.

The edition is also available in teal, purple and yellow.
