Jules de Balincourt is charmingly normal. He hesitates to put himself on a pedestal, he doesn’t like interviews and chances are high he doesn’t know how funny he is.
A classically trained ceramicist, the artist arrived in New York nearly two decades ago and has since worked as a painter with due experience and commitment. His New York studio is filled with large amounts of different brushes arranged in curious ways. They have different purposes and will be used for different moods. But, he doesn’t have a brush fetish, so he says.

The Ultimate Journey – Gold

Produced as 10 colors screen print on a 410gsm somerset radiant white paper with glazes and glitter and small diamond dust on the face. Paper size 97 x 71 cm and image size 92 x 67.4 cm with the edges cut. Important note: The diamond dust on the print can fall off a little bit this is not a mistake but a part of the print.

Chromadynamica Variable – Color

Varying in size from its static form measuring 50x72cm, up to maximum of 95x50cm when displayed “in movement”. This unprecedented limited edition applies his unmistakable digitally-based aesthetics on custom built structure made of mdf panel base and an aluminum sheet with up to 11 pixelated stripes. Using magnets as the mounting method, the parts of the piece are easily movable both vertically and horizontally, enabling different sequences of the stripes which form assorted vibrant compositions.
