Dichroic Mandala translates Jen Stark’s psychedelic fractals into rings of vibrant glass.

The artist’s first glass edition alternates sheets of dichroic and coloured glass. Inspired by geometry, natural forms and mandalas, the work's hypnotic pattern creates an illusion of movement – even when still. To make efficient use of materials, the sequence of colours varies from artwork to artwork. Each of the 12 unique colours appears only a few times on the outermost shape.

Jen Stark5 collaborationsLos Angeles-based artist Jen Stark creates unmissable optical illusions that leave your senses spinning. Part meditation, part acid trip, her in-your-face abstraction is designed for all audiences spanning the art world and popular culture. She’s done collaborations with the likes of Vans, Facebook and Google, and in 2015 her work even provided the backdrop to Miley Cyrus' performance at the MTV VMAs. Jen works across painting, installation, sculpture and animation, inspired by Op Artists like Bridget Riley and Marina Apollonio, as well as the Finish Fetish artists of 1960s Los Angeles. Altered states of consciousness and spirituality are key conceptual forces and sources of inspiration in Jen's artworks, stating: "For thousands of years our ancestors cultivated this amazing culture and psychedelic ceremonies and I think our culture (especially the west) has lost hold of these beautiful secrets and a deep connection to nature."
