An iconic Problem Painting by Urs Fischer becomes a new limited edition print.
Originally presented at Gagosian Beverly Hills in 2012, Problem Paintings is a series of collaged works that layer silkscreened everyday objects over portraits of Hollywood starlets. Confrontational, surreal, and darkly humorous, Fischer’s compositions transform familiar imagery into something unsettling and psychologically charged. Fischer said, “Humor is a way to deal with fear.” That tension between attraction and discomfort sits at the centre of this work.
This limited edition print features a matte varnish seal and 4 silkscreen layers, in an edition of 100.
